Internal certification of tourism services of the city of Pardubice
The objective of the certification of tourism services of the city of Pardubice including the regulations was approved by the Pardubice municipal council in March, 2006. The target of the project is not only the effort for a general upgrading of services provided in the field of tourism and creating networks of quality establishments providing services to visitors, as well as to citizens of the city, but promotion of the internal cooperation between the public and private sectors. This system is supposed to contribute to the transparency of offered services as well as to better orientation in the accommodation and catering establishments for visotors and its citizens. Moreover, the certification gives businessmen an opportunity to declare openly to public the qualities of thier establishments and thus, gives them new opportunities for promotion. The certificate awarded by the corporate town of Pardubice is a hallmark of the high quality provided services. The awarded certification brings other advantages, such as the publication of a brochure with certified establishments on the part of city (websites, tourism fairs, regional information center Pardubice Region Tourism and others), advantages for applications for a grant from the tourism fund etc.
In the framework of the first stage that was in progress in 2006, total of twenty-one providers of accommodation and catering sevices, who had expressed the interest to be involved in certification system, were evaluated. Independent commissars experienced in tourism were considering the chosen establishments according to the forward criteria since June to October 2006. The emphasis was placed in particular on the compliance with compulsory criteria and quality of provided services. The results or the Internal Certification of Tourism Services of the City of Pardubice were announced in the end of the year. The municipal council of Pardubice approved the awarding of the quality certification of tourism services to the eighteen catering or accommodation establishments on 27th February, 2007.
The successful subjects were awarded the Quality Certificate of Tourism Services. The supplement to this certificate are adhesive tapes with the logo of the Quality Certification Pardubice. The validity of the certificate is 3 years. After that time it expires as well as in case the establishment changes its keeper. In case of negative responses on the part of the customers the certified establishment will be rechecked. If the realized imperfections are prooved, the certification will be revoked effective immediately up to the time the establishment removes these imperfections, reapplies for the certification and this one is awarded again. Conditions for awarding the quality certification of tourism services will be individually established by agreement.
